NewCo

Once someone picks a destination, what’s next? We designed a way to ask, not with forms, but with images.

The Problem

Knowing a user wants to go to Italy isn’t enough. Some travelers want to see Michelangelo’s Pietà. Others just want gelato and people-watching.

The Task

The task was to figure out what kind of trip to build after a destination is chosen, without overwhelming users with text or forcing them to overthink. We needed a way to uncover intent through exploration.

The Approach

We landed on a visual gallery of top experiences, tailored to the location.

Users could select anything that excited them: safari game drives, Cape Winelands tastings, vibrant township art, coastal hikes, or even just a stroll through a local market.

The Solution

  • Visually rich cards featuring iconic experiences from that specific place
  • Users select multiple interests to “paint a picture” of their ideal trip
  • AI uses these inputs to prioritize museums, neighborhoods, restaurants, and events
  • Each location has a unique, locally grounded version of the gallery (not generic checkboxes)

Reflection

Sometimes people don’t know what they want until they see it. This gallery helped users feel seen, and helped us build smarter, more emotionally aligned trips.
